Anthony Lorenzo is a licensed acupuncturist (LAc.), who completed his training at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, in 2011 with a master’s degree in oriental medicine and bachelor’s degree in health science.
An Ohio licensed practitioner since 2012, Anthony received his acupuncture education at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, founded by Dr. Leon Hammer who wrote the book on oriental medical psychology (Dragon Rises, Red Bird Flies). Anthony is well trained in treating emotional and mood disorders, as well as excelling in the treatment of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Anthony also practices a unique system of acupuncture learned in an apprenticeship with a master who has almost 40 years of experience. Anthony’s mentor/teacher learned the system via an apprenticeship in Japan. The system of acupuncture practiced by Anthony originates from an ancient lineage that has been passed down from teacher to student for thousands of years. He also utilizes Richard Tan’s balance method and applied kinesiology adapted to oriental medicine for diagnosis. Anthony uses smaller needles and less manipulation of needles to stimulate Qi (life force) flow. Magnets can be used instead of needles for those who can’t relax with needles.
Anthony’s particular style of acupuncture is not practiced by anyone else in the Cleveland metropolitan area and is unique to the specific lineage with which he apprenticed and learned. Anthony practices what would best be described as a Japanese style of 5 Elements. He uses some of Master Tong and Richard Tan’s methods as well.
